Javier Hernandez has accused Louis Van Gaal of not giving him a fair chance at Manchester United.

The striker’s current scoring form at Bayer Leverkusen is healing on top of current frustrations’ for the United boss.

Regret?

With his side current struggling for a regular goal scorer, his decision in the summer to move Hernandez on is coming under fire.

He smashed in a 13-minute hat-trick against Borussia Monchengladbach at the weekend, moving his total for the season to 17, which is 10 more than Wayne Rooney.

“I didn’t have the intention to leave for Real Madrid in 2014 but I wanted to more playing time,” said Hernandez.

“Van Gaal told me that he already had his strikers, that I would have to fight for a place but could take an offer if an opportunity arrives.

“The board told me that I could go on loan to Real and it was not a difficult decision for me. Then I returned to Manchester and I started to have opportunities but one day I spoke with Van Gaal and I had only a one per cent chance of playing so that meant I needed to make magic! So I moved to Bayer.”
