Arsenal’s hopes of signing Emil Forsberg could be boosted by a row between the player and manager Ralph Hasenhuttl.
German football reporter reveals failed move for Emil Forsberg.
Arsenal reportedly made an offer for RB Leipzig playmaker Emil Forsberg last summer.
Forsberg established himself as one of the best-attacking talents in the Bundesliga last term with 19 assists in 30 games and it appears Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger was keen on acquiring the Sweden international.
According to German football expert Raphael Honigstein, the Gunners had an approach for Forsberg snubbed but predicted another move could be made in this summer.
He told: “Emil Forsberg has been in and out of the RB Leipzig team with injuries, and they’ve really missed him a lot.
“He is still a guy who really wants to go to the Premier League. He was very upset when Arsenal’s offer was turned down straight away by Leipzig. I think Arsenal will come back in for him because he has got a lot of talent.”
