Chris Hughton has said that he is disappointed that Brighton could not beat Arsenal.

The Seagulls drew with the Gunners at the Amex Stadium after Jurgen Locadia scored in the 35th minute to cancel out Pierre Emerick Aubmeyang’s opening goal in the 7th minute.

Brighton and Hove Albion manager Chris Hughton has said that he is disappointed that his side were not able to beat Arsenal. The Seagulls came back through Jurgen Locadia’s goal in the match against Arsenal after Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang gave the Gunners the lead in the 7th minute of the match.

Speaking to the media after the match, Hughton said, “Probably that’s the overriding feeling (disappointed not to win), particularly having started so poorly. At that stage if they get the second goal it becomes really hard for us, but there is that difference between being 1-0 and 2-0 down. The goal came at a good time. I thought we were really good in the second half and probably if I felt any side was going to score then it was us. If we’d had a little bit more composure in their box – Solly March’s chance – then I think we would have won.”

Brighton and Hove Albion are currently stranded at the 13th position in the league table and are set to face Everton in their next match in the Premier League.
