Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris has revealed that he is feeling good and could have played against Newcastle United last weekend, but was advised not too by the medics.

The French international was left unconscious after colliding with Everton striker Romelu Lukaku, but contiued to play the rest of the game despite suffering the nasty knock.

It was a decision that wasn’t welcomed by many officials involved in football and Andre Villas-Boas received a lot of stick for not removing Lloris from the game.

However, the ‘keeper was not involved in the 1-0 defeat to Newcastle a week later, but he has revealed that he felt fine to play.

“I feel good,” Lloris told a press conference.

“I was unconscious for a few seconds, but I was ready to play last weekend. The medical staff preferred me not to.”
