Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper admitted ‘desired’ move fell through

Hugo Lloris has dropped a massive hint that he wanted to leave Tottenham Hotspur for Manchester United over the summer.

The Frenchman was talking in an interview back in his homeland and when asked about the transfer speculation and the links with a move to Old Trafford, Lloris stated that the ‘desired’ move didn’t happen.

Reports suggested that had David De Gea left and joined Real Madrid, United could have made a move for Lloris from Spurs as they identified him as a suitable replacement.

However, when discussing the reports, Lloris stated that it was all paper talk and the move was never really going to go through.

Lloris Discusses Future

He said: “A lot of things were said and written – there could have been a development there but the desired movement didn’t happen.”

The 28-year-old then continued by reassuring Tottenham fans that he’s fully focused on the job at hand at White Hart Lane.

He added: “I have a lot of affection for Tottenham. I feel respected, I have a very good relationship with the staff and I’m ready to play the best season possible.”
