Galatasaray and Netherlands midfielder Wesley Sneijder has revealed that he wants to become the next Jose Mourinho once he retires from the game.

The 30-year-old, who spent time working with Mourinho in Italy during their Inter Milan, has revealed in a recent interview that he sees the Chelsea boss as a perfect model to resemble, and he even admitted that he’s took notes about ‘The Special One’, in the hope that he can duplicate the results.

“Jose Mourinho was a very good coach,” Sneijder said in an interview with Dutch newspaper Algemeen Dagblad.

“I would like to be a coach just as he is; in my own way. I’ve worked with a lot of good coaches, so I would be stupid if I did not pick anything up.

“I kept track of everything Mourinho did, from his training methods to his tactical analysis I have it all stored on my computer.

“I want to be a manager like him in the future.”

Sneijder has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League in recent years, but he has never formalised a move, and is still in Turkey with Galatasaray.
