The striker’s current contract runs out in the summer

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has refused to rule out a return to Italy when his contract runs out.

The striker’s current deal with PSG expires at the end of June this year and with no signs of a new deal as of yet, he could be set to leave the French club in search of a new team in the summer transfer window.

It’s been widely rumoured that the 34-year old would return to Italy, where he has spent a lot of his career. He has played for AC Milan, Juventus and Inter Milan and when asked about whether he would return to Serie A, he refused to rule it out.

He said: “A return to Italy? I have three months left here at PSG, then we’ll see.”

Several top European sides interested

It isn’t just teams from Italy who are interested, with several Premier League sides, Bundesliga sides and teams from other areas all interested in the clinical Sweden international Man United and Chelsea are believed to be the sides keen on a move from England.

His teammate Thiago Silva though is hoping that Ibrahimovic decides to turn down the chance to leave France and instead agrees a new deal at PSG. Only time will tell what the striker does decide to do though.
