Iceland success – playoff awaits

The former Sweden national team coach got to celebrate after only 10 minutes into the game when Ajax striker Kolbeinn Sigthorsson gave Iceland the lead. After 30 minutes Norway with newly appointed coach Per-Mathias Högmo equalized through veteran Danliel Braaten.

But in the end it wasn’t enough, and Iceland are now closer than ever to qualify for the World Cup.

The Swedish coach was very happy with the performance put in by his men, and now he himself has the oppurtunity to lead his third country into the big tournament after previously managing Nigeria and Sweden.
