If you are caught with this at Stamford Bridge, Instant lifetime ban!

There are many things Football Clubs just wont stand for and this is no exception, If you are found with this weapon you WILL be banned from Stamford Bridge FOREVER!

The weapon in question?

Celery.

That’s right, this is not a joke or fake news.

Did you know that if you bring Celery and throw it onto the pitch or at players you will be banned for life from Stamford Bridge.

This includes even bringing Celery to the ground, it’s officially outlawed.

Most people don’t know that this ban happened 10 years ago and the vegetable is still to this day not allowed.

Blues fans had been taking the vegetable to games for over two decades in homage to their terrace chant ‘Celery’ (see below), but the club put their foot down saying that throwing the vegetable was, in fact a criminal offence.

“The throwing of anything at a football match, including celery, is a criminal offence for which you can be arrested and end up with a criminal record,” read a statement on the club website. “In future, if anyone is found attempting to bring celery into Stamford Bridge they could be refused entry and anyone caught throwing celery will face a ban.”

The funniest thing about this whole situation is that Chelsea have a hotline so people can call to report others seen carrying celery, promising that “all calls will be treated in confidence”.

So if you see ANYONE carrying that vegetable, you must report it.

Remember, see something, say something.

Don’t let anyone be a victim of Celery throwers again.
