Southampton left-back Luke Shaw has revealed his intentions are to stay at the club, despite serious interest being shown by Premier League giants Manchester United and Chelsea.
The English defender has been tipped to become one of the greats in football after putting in some fine performances for The Saints since their Premier League arrival two seasons ago.
Shaw is yet another Southampton prospect that has interested big clubs, but he has made it clear that he does not intend to follow in Theo Walcott and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s footsteps, who both went on to move to bigger clubs.
It was reported that both United and Chelsea were going to make moves for the Englishman in January, with The Red Devils prepared to spend up to £15million on the 18-year-old, but Mauricio Pochettino and co. are confident that Shaw will remain at St Marys for the forseeable future.
