Inter and AC Milan chasing Liverpool striker

The two Italian clubs are interested in signing Mario Balotelli, according to reports

Any deal for the 25-year-old would be on loan, with Liverpool offering to pay 50% of his reported £110,000-a-week wages.

Lazio had been credited with an interest in the former Manchester City striker but the two Milan-based clubs now look to be leading the race.

According to Italian journalist Tancredi Palmeri, the Italy international is in talks with both Inter and AC Milan – two clubs which he has played for previously.

“Balotelli is having contacts with both Milan and Inter. “Fair (and easy) to say that by next week he won’t be in Liverpool anymore.”

“Nothing defined at the moment, but I’m confident it’ll be a loan with option to buy, and kinda 50 per cent wages by Liverpool” said Palmeri.

Liverpool are thought to be desperate to sell the forward – manager Brendan Rodgers has sent him to train with the reserves.

Balotelli OUT mkhitaryan IN

Borussia Dortmund midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan has been linked with a £15million move to the Merseyside club after his agent Mino Raiola confirmed he wanted a move away from the club.

Henrikh wants to leave Dortmund at the end of the season. We will have to wait and see what we can do” said Raiola.

The 25-year-old joined the Bundesliga side for around £25million in 2013 but injuries and a lack of first-team opportunities will likely lower the asking price.

Liverpool were rumoured to be keen on the Armenia international before his move to Germany and may now renew their interest before the close of the transfer window.
