The Serie A side’s new owners want to invest in a top striker
Inter Milan are ready to break the bank to bring Diego Costa to Italy.
According to reports from Italy today, Inter Milan are on the hunt for a new striker to lead the line at the club. Although they have several targets, one of their main ones appears to be the Chelsea striker.
He has impressed in the Premier League so far this season under Antonio Conte, bagging 10 goals in 15 games in all competitions.
The 28-year old has shown no signs of slowing down either and as arguably one of the best finishers in England, Inter Milan are desperate to add him to their side.
Huge £50m could be offered
It won’t be easy to prise him away from Stamford Bridge, with the club understandably desperate to keep hold of one of their star men. However, under this new ownership, the Serie A side are believed to be willing to pay £50m for his services.
In addition, the Italians are hoping not only to add a new striker to their ranks but potentially a new manager too. The reports today have claimed that Inter are also keen to make Diego Simeone their next manager.
It would be a huge coup and if they did manage to pull it off, it would likely make them want Costa even more due to the fact the player and manager worked together – and impressed massively – back when the two of them were at Atletico Madrid.
If they managed to bring in Simeone, it might convince Costa to up sticks and make the move to Italy.
