The Spaniard is ready to stay at Real Madrid and try and win a place in the side

Isco looks set to snub interest from England this summer and instead stay at Real Madrid, according to reports.

The Spaniard has been linked with a move to England, with both Arsenal and Liverpool keeping tabs on the midfielder. Both sides were believed to be plotting moves for the 24-year old in the near future but it looks like their hopes have been dashed with these latest reports.

According to Marca, Isco has decided that instead of leaving Madrid in search of first-team football, he is willing to stay at the Bernabeu and continue to fight for a regular first-team spot with them.

Isco has managed to feature quite often for the La Liga side – he did make 31 appearances for the club last season – but he started just 21 of those games and didn’t start the Champions League final either.

Pogba interest has cooled

This is no doubt down to the amount of talent that Madrid have in their side and with the amount of midfielders the club can choose from, it has seen Isco pushed further back in the pecking order. He could have been pushed even further back with the acquisition of Paul Pogba from Juventus but the Spanish side have decided not to pursue a deal for the Frenchman.

Despite this, Isco has seemingly decided to stay in Spain and continue to fight for a place in the side rather than make the move to England for more gametime.

It’ll be a large blow to the Gunners and the Reds who were both keen to sign him but for Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane, it will be a huge boost, as the Spaniard is certainly talented and still has something to offer the side and is willing to give it his all next season in the hopes of playing regular football.
