Zinedine Zidane has claimed he wants to keep the Arsenal and Man City target at Real Madrid

Arsenal and Man City look set to miss out on signing Isco this summer, after Zinedine Zidane claimed he wants to keep the player at Real Madrid.

Early reports had suggested that the Spaniard could be on his way out of La Liga, with Arsenal and Man City both keeping tabs on him. Both sides were preparing to launch bids for him this summer but it looks likely that he won’t be on his way to England anytime soon.

Zidane has claimed he wants to keep the midfielder in Spain and with no official bids yet on the table – and with interested teams reportedly only willing to pay half the valuation of the player – he has moved to rubbish reports that he will let Isco go this summer.

Missed out on Spain call-up

The Madrid manager simply said to the Daily Star: “Isco will not be leaving Real Madrid.”

It seems Zidane still feels Isco has some use at the Bernabeu, despite not featuring too much for the Spanish giants over the course of last season.

The lack of action also led to him missing out on a Spain call up for the Euros, leading many to believe he would look elsewhere in a bid to get more gametime for a club and for his country.

However, it appears that Zidane may be willing to now give it to him at Madrid, with the manager not wanting him to leave.
