Sevilla midfielder Ivan Rakitic has revealed his delight at joining FC Barcelona this Summer.
The Croatian midfielder has had a superb season for Sevilla and was key to their Europa League glory this season, as they saw off Benfica in the final, and his performances also caught the eye of three Premier League clubs.
Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool were all interested in the midfielder, but news broke earlier this week that the two Spanish sides had agreed a fee of around £16.2million for the advanced midfielder.
The 26-year-old was speaking to media ahead of the World Cup, and this is what he had to say: “I am very happy. It is a dream come true.”
Rakitic will feature in the World Cup’s opener tomorrow as his Croatia side take on hosts Brazil.
