Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has apologised to fans after pictures were released of him last week smoking a cigarette outside a night-club.
When the pictures were highlighted for the public, the England international said it was a prank and just a dare, however, he has now gone and apologised for the picture saying it was a mistake.
His manager, Arsene Wenger, didn’t give too much away on the matter and just said that actions will be take within the club, but after the West Brom game on Sunday, where he actually scored the equaliser, Wilshere apologised to fans and admitted he was in the wrong.
‘I made a mistake. Players make mistakes. I’m not a smoker,’ he said defiantly when asked about the pictures by Arsenal.com.
‘I spoke to the boss and he asked me what happened. I explained it to him and we sorted it out. He put me in the team and hopefully I repaid him.’
