Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has taken to Twitter to start a debate about goalkeepers in the Premier League.
The debate started after the news broke that Wojciech Szczesny had extended his contract at the club after signing a long-term deal and soon after that news broke, Wilshere took to Twitter to hail the Polish shot-stopper.
Wilshere was obviously delighted with the news that Szczesny put pen to paper at the Emirates Stadium as he announced that he thought he was the best goalkeeper in England, closely followed by Manchester City’s Joe Hart and then Manchester United’s David De Gea.
Wilshere tweeted: ‘Top 3 keepers in the Premiership? I’m going with 1.Sczcesny. (sic) 2. Hart. 3. De Gea. Opinions please? I was stuck on number 3!!’
The Arsenal midfielder then added: ‘Tough one to be fair as the standard of Goalkeepers in the prem is very, very high! But for me Szczesny is number 1, and still so young..’
