Wilshere had a fantastic game on Tuesday night, getting his fourth goal of the season and Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger described the England midfielder’s first-minute strike against the French side as “stunning”.

He even admitted it suprised him “It demands vision, it demands calmness, it demands quality execution and he had all that in that goal,” Wenger told ‘Arsenal Player’. “I would say his [first goal was] absolutely stunning.”

This win takes Arsenal three points clear at the top of their group and with only Napoli away left to play, Arsenal have almost guaranteed their place in Europe’s last 16.

But Wilshere’s goal was very important as it set the tone for the match and Arsenal were in control. Wenger added: “We have him and Ramsey who can score now and that’s a huge improvement”

“To see them scoring goals is magnificent.”
