Liverpool agree deal with Manchester City
Liverpool are nearing the transfer of James Milner from Manchester City after reports suggest a verbal agreement has been reached.
Milner, 29, runs out of contract with The Citizens in June and has reportedly turned down an offer to extend this in a deal worth an estimated £165,000-a-week in a bid to get first team football elsewhere.

Milner made the £25million pound move from Aston Villa five years ago has always said that cash would not be a factor in any decision for his future as it is felt he wants to make sure he is seen as one of the most consistent English midfielders of his generation.
Arsenal have also been heavily linked with the player but with names like Santi Cazorla, Aaron Ramsey and Jack Wilshere to choose from, it seems unlikely that he would be able to jump straight into the first team.
