The player’s agent has claimed he will be staying in Spain
James Rodriguez will not be leaving Real Madrid before the transfer deadline, according to reports.
The midfielder has been linked with a move away from the Bernabeu for most of the summer, with many believing he would leave the club in pursuit of more regular first-team football.

However, his agent – Jorge Mendes – has today claimed that he will not be moving to any other club before the transfer deadline and that he is happy to stay in La Liga.
Several top Premier League sides have been linked with a move from Arsenal to Chelsea and Man United. It is the Blues who have been most keen to land the 25-year old but it now appears that any hopes of a deadline day swoop have been quashed.
The Colombia international has barely featured yet for Madrid this season but he is still eager to impress at the La Liga side and fight for his place in the team.
