Throughout January the youngster was linked away from Old Trafford with former manager David Moyes looking to lure him to Real Sociedad.
The Belgian international has become less and less involved with the first team under Louis van Gaal but the Dutchman refused to sell him in the window just shut.
However, Januzaj could be used to fund or as part of a deal to bring either PSG’s Marquinhos or Everton’s Seamus Coleman to Old Trafford.
The 20 year-old has voiced his frustration at van Gaal’s reign; in particular the system he has employed since taking over in the summer – a system he does not believe he fits into.
“The system really can make it more difficult for me to play there, but I have to keep working.”
“There are lots of players here and I can play in different roles – it’s just a case of taking my opportunities.”
Januzaj has only appeared 11 times for United this season and has not scored in any of these.
