Watford are scheduled to take on Tottenham Hotspur in the Carabao Cup at the MK Dons stadium and Hornets manager Javi Gracia feels his side is ready to take the challenge at a neutral venue.

Tottenham were supposed to play their home game at the Wembley stadium but the fight between the fight between Anthony Joshua and Alexander Povetkin on September 22 forced the North London giants to arrange their match at an alternative venue.

Watford had earlier appealed to stage the match at Vicarage Road but their request got rejected by the EFL. Gracia’s side recently got the better of Spurs in the Premier League but will be aware of their capability.

The Hornets are off to a flying start this season and Gracia is hoping to maintain the momentum. He said, “That decision doesn’t depend on me and we are playing where they (EFL) decide, in this case it is Stadium MK.

“We are happy to play there and, for me, it is important to know wherever we play we will have the support of our fans. It is a good stadium and we will do our best.”

“A home game is when we play at Vicarage Road and in this case we play away. As I have said before, I know wherever we play we will have the support of our fans.”
