Watford boss Javi Gracia insists they will approach the Tottenham Hotspur game as the final. Gracia’s side are scheduled to take on Spurs in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday.

The tie will be played at the Stadium MK, home to the League Two side Milton Keynes. Spurs were supposed to play at the Wembley stadium as the renovation of the White Hart Lane is yet to be completed. But Wembley was unavailable due to the fight between Anthony Joshua and Alexander Povetkin and Spurs’ request to play in the MK Dons stadium was granted by the EFL.

Tottenham will be eager to avenge their loss in the Premier League a few days ago. Gracia doesn’t want to take a risk in this game and is treating the game as the final.

Gracia said, “For me, the final is tomorrow.

“If you don’t win, you don’t have more chances.

“This is the best mentality. We will see for the future, but this next game we will play as a final.

“For me, all the games are important. The Carabao Cup is a good competition.

“I don’t give more importance if we are playing in the Premier League, Carabao Cup or FA Cup. It’s the same for the players as well.”
