Australian international Mile Jedinak has signed a new three and a half year deal with current club Crystal Palace.

Despite Palace being currently in 20th position and manager Ian Holloway stepping down to be replaced by Tony Pulis, Jedinak said he would commit himself to the south London side until June 2017.

“I’m ecstatic to put pen to paper on a new contract, I’ve been a part of this football club for two and a half years and I’ve enjoyed every moment of that,” The club captain was quoted on the Crystal Palace website.

“The first season was great and the second obviously ended in us getting promoted and now we’re in the Premier League where we want to be, so I’m really happy here and pleased that I’ve done this.”

New Palace manager Tony Pulis said: “We’re very pleased, Mile is a player that I was looking at last year at Stoke as he is an outstanding team player.

“He’s really impressed me in the last week or so as he’s a real soldier and the other lads respond well to him.”
