Musiala excelled in the recent 4-1 win over Hoffenheim, making a real impression on the national team coach. The midfielder previously stared for the England youth sides, breaking into the U15 side at just 13. He made appearances for the Germany U16s in October 2018 before featuring across 8 games for the England U17s.

“He’s an exceptional talent, who is highly valued by Germany and Bayern,” commented the Germany boss. “I think he knows one way or another that I want to nominate him,” he continued. “The ball’s in his court – it’s his decision.”
