Burnley have completed the signing of England goalkeeper Joe Hart. The 31-year old has signed an initial two-year deal with the club. With Nick Pope and Tom Heaton injured, Hart will be The Clarets’ first-choice goalkeeper.

Once considered one of the world’s top goalkeepers, Joe Hart has been looking for a move away from Manchester City. Following his disappointing performances in Euro 2016, Pep Guardiola said that he has no first-team future with the club. He spent the 2016-17 season on loan at Torino and the 2017-18 season on loan at West Ham.

Hart hasn’t played for England since 2017 and last featured in their squad for a friendly against Italy in March. The 31-year old will be coming to Burnley with plenty of experience, having played 321 Premier League matches. Hart is Sean Dyche’s second signing in two days after Birmingham defender joined the club for £15 million.

Burnley had a good 2017-18 season and will be looking to have a better one this time. The Clarets begin their Premier League against Southampton at St.Mary’s Stadium at Saturday.
