Fulham defender John Arne Riise has admitted that he is ready to move on and experience a new challenge in his career.

The former-Liverpool man has been a Fulham player since 2011, but has recently falling down the pecking order under Martin Jol as he has played Kieran Richardson as a left-back, which has left Riise out of the squad.

The 33-year-old has admitted in an interview that he will weigh up his options in January, with his current deal set to expire in the Summer.=

“I speak to the gaffer all of the time. We both know how I’m thinking. I’m obviously not happy not playing,” he told the Fulham Chronicle.

“I feel fit and if I get a chance I’m ready. If not, then we’ll look somewhere else to see if I can get a move.

“I’ll remain professional, whether I’m going to leave or not. I always give 100 per cent in training and if I play, the gaffer knows that.

“I’ll work hard until January and see what happens. If it doesn’t happen, then I’ll work hard until May.

“I’m never going to be a player who moans. I want to keep fit, work hard every day and be ready if I’m needed. If not, I will look elsewhere.”
