John Stones reveals there were five minutes of absolute madness in the Manchester City dressing room following their 2-0 derby victory over Manchester United.
City edged another step towards their retention of the Premier League title with a convincing win. Bernardo Silva and Leroy Sane were the two scorers as the English Champions maintained their solid run in the Premier League.
Pep Guardiola’s side needs no more calculation and must register victories in their remaining three matches to claim the English top flight title for the second consecutive year.
Stones missed the last match but is expected to be back in the starting lineup when the Sky Blues take on Burnley.
Stones said, “To get over the line at the end of the game and to come away with those three points at such a vital stage of the season you can’t really put into words how it feels sometimes,
“You get into the dressing room both before and after the match and it was a great occasion because everyone is just so happy that we’ve beat our rivals.
“We had five minutes of madness where everyone’s shouting and then it calms down.
“Everyone then just gets on with their recoveries as we know we’ve got another game at the weekend. It’s the fast cycle of games, and once that game’s done it’s onto the next one.”
