Everton fans not happy with defender after handing in transfer request
John Stones has been forced to evacuate his own home after being terrorised by furious Everton fans who aren’t happy with the defender for handing in a formal transfer request.
The 21-year-old informed the Merseyside club earlier this week that he wanted to leave in order to join Premier League champions Chelsea, who have already had two formal bids turned down for the centre-back this summer.
Stones handed in his request but saw it rejected by Roberto Martinez and Bill Kenwright, who are both desperate to keep him at the club.
Fans Have Turned
However, since the request, The Toffees fans have turned on him and have already lashed out at him during a game.
A video was released yesterday of an angry fan calling Stones ‘a f*****g rat’ during their Capital One Cup game with Barnsley and now the defender has had to leave his own home due to angry fans.
According to reports, Stones is devastated that a move to Chelsea may not happen, and it’s been worse with the fact he’s been forced to leave his own home and stay in a hotel whilst the transfer saga continues.
With the deadline on Tuesday, Stones doesn’t have long left to secure his future.
