Brondby offer Chelsea defender a player/manager contract

Chelsea skipper John Terry is reportedly being offered a player/manager contract by Danish side Brondby.

The Blues defender is expected to Stamford Bridge at the end of the season once his contract expires, and with the club not offering him a new deal, the captain is set to leave the club on a free transfer.

Terry has been since linked with a move to the MLS or the Chinese Super League, but according to reports today, he could be set for a managerial role.

Despite wanting to stay at Chelsea, it’s clear the officials at the club are not prepared to offer him a new deal, and that could see him end up in Denmark.

Brondby Approach

According to reports, Brondby owner Jan Bech Andersen is good friends with Terry and he’s keen to make him the clubs future manager.

Brondby’s recent manager Thomas Frank has just left the club and they’ve currently got an interim-manager until the end of the season.

It’s claimed that Andersen is ready to sign Terry on a player/coach contract, which could eventually see him manage the club.
