Conte given huge boost ahead of London derby

Antonio Conte has been handed a huge injury boost ahead of Chelsea’s huge clash with Arsenal this weekend, with captain John Terry returning to training today following a spell on the sidelines with an ankle injury.

Terry picked up the injury in the side’s 2-2 draw away at Swansea on 11th September, and it was thought he’d miss approximately 10 days with the problem.

He missed the 2-1 defeat at home to Liverpool on Friday night, with Chelsea seriously missing his organisation of the backline throughout the game.

However, now he is in line to face Arsenal on Saturday, after returning to training today.

Terry wrote on Instagram: “Back training today,” alongside a picture of himself at Chelsea’s Cobham training ground.

Although Terry is back in training, he will miss the EFL Cup tie with Leicester tomorrow night.

David Luiz started in place of the defender against Liverpool, but the Brazilian could drop out again for the former England captain to return at the trip to the Emirates.
