Galatasaray want to sign Blues defender
Chelsea defender John Terry is being scouted by Roberto Mancini’s side Galatasaray with a plan to make a bid for the veteran in January or next Summer, when the defender’s current contract expires.
The former-Manchester City manager is desperate to strengthen his defence and on top of his wishlist is The Blues captain, who could become a free agent in May.
The board of the Turkish club have revealed that they will fully back Mancini and give him the funds that he needs to turn Galatasaray into a European mega-team, much like Paris Saint-Germain have done and AS Monaco are in the process of doing.
Despite returning into the first-team since Jose Mourinho’s return, Chelsea have a policy where they only offer one-year contracts to players over 30, much like Ashley Cole and Frank Lampard are currently on, and a long-term offer from Galatasaray could be enough to persuade Terry to make the move away from Stamford Bridge.
