Manchester United goalkeeper Sam Johnstone joins West Brom for £6.5 million.

The English goalkeeper who has been a part of Manchester United for 7 years but spent most of his year being on loan to different clubs has finally said  adieu to the Red Devils and has completed a £6.5 million transfer to West Brom.

Johnstone never played a single game for the Red Devils. The goalkeeper was a part of teams like Yeovil, Doncaster and Preston. Last Season he was a part of Aston Villa where he played 66 games and helped them to reach Championship Play-off.

The Goalkeeper has signed a 4-years deal with the Baggies and is looking forward to it.

“I’m happy to be here. I’ve spoken to a lot of people about the club and heard nothing but good things,” said Johnstone to the Club Official Website.

He added,”It’s good to get through the door. I’ve played Championship games and won a promotion from League One with Preston but always seemed to end back at Manchester United or going somewhere else. Now it’s time to settle down and take my game up to the next level which I believe I can do here.”

After finishing at the bottom of the Premier League last season, West Brom hopes that the signing would help them to achieve good results in the 2018-19 season.
