After months of speculation over a potential move, Walters signs on.
The Republic of Ireland international has signed a 2 year contract extension to the end of 2017-2018 season.
After handing a transfer request in at the start of the season, Jon Walters has had a change of mind and signed a 2 year extension. The striker has scored 5 goals this season as The Potters set there sights on european football next season.
The signing will boast the moral around the club as they take on Chelsea in the Saturday Night Football, live on Sky Sports.
City Chief Executive Tony Scholes said: “Jon has been with us for more than five years and is very much part of the DNA of the Club.
“We’re delighted to have reached an agreement with him that will see him stay with the Club for at least another two-and-a-half years.”
Walters has made more than 200 league and cup appearances since joining City from Ipswich Town in the summer of 2010, scoring 54 goals.
