Striker Jonathan Calleri has confirmed in an interview on Argentine TV that he will sign for Premier League side West Ham United.
The 22-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League in the past season and he reveals himself that the Hammers won the bidding war for his signature.
Calleri has previously been linked with London neighbours Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea, but the forward insisted that the deal had been made and that he was just waiting on a work permit to arrive to he could be unveiled as a West Ham player.
In an interview with ESPN in Argentina, he said: “I will play at West Ham.
“It is now closed. I wanted to play in Europe. I just need the work visa.” he added.
West Ham have not made any announcement as of yet on the rising star, but speculation is growing that the club could confirm their latest signing by the end of this week.
