Liverpool skipper becoming frustrated at foot problem

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has confirmed that Jordan Henderson has suffered a setback in his recovery and is starting to feel frustrated about his injury problems.

The club-captain has been absent for over a month now after suffering a foot injury, and after travelling to America to see a specialist, it was suggested that he’d be back in time for the Norwich City game on Sunday.

However, speaking after the club’s 1-1 draw with Bordeaux last night, Rodgers confirmed there has been a setback and has admitted Henderson is becoming frustrated at the situation.

Setback

“I’ll see him tomorrow, he went out with Andy Massey our club doctor for some work in America,” he told BT Sport.

“He was getting a little bit frustrated because there was no improvement so it will take a couple of days to see how he is.”

Henderson became Liverpool‘s second player in recent time to fly out to America to seek specialist help after Daniel Sturridge spent all summer out there trying to recover.
