Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford has said that the players enjoy manager Marco Silva’s style of play. He believes that the Portuguese’s expressive style can bring out the best in the Everton players.
Pickford told the club’s official website, “The way the gaffer sets us up works really well. It’s new and fresh but everyone is buying into it. It’s really good and we’re enjoying it. We get to play out from the back and it is about managing the game.”
Everton were unfortunate to draw against Bournemouth last weekend. The Toffees were leading 2-0 before two late goals within a span of four minutes leveled the game. Pickford said, “Set-pieces can win or lose you games and I think that is what cost us the three points against Bournemouth. I think, looking back, it is a good point because we’re still unbeaten. We will head into Saturday’s game against Huddersfield in good form.”
Everton will be entering the match against Huddersfield Town without their young talent Richarlison. The Brazilian is suspended for the match after being sent off against Bournemouth.
