Chelsea manager, Jose Mourinho, has rubbished the reports claiming Juan Cuadrado is set to join the club from Fiorentina this month.
The Portuguese was holding his weekly press conference and was asked about the speculation surrounding the Colombian’s future, and he responded by pouring cold water all over the rumours.
‘There are not men marked [to sign this month],’ he said. ‘I think he fits well in Fiorentina’s squad and Colombia’s squad, not in Chelsea’s squad.’
The Premier League leaders were reportedly close to signing the midfielder, with Andre Schurrle and Mohamed Salah both set to quit the club.
However, Mourinho confirmed today they Cuadrado won’t be arriving and nor will Schurrle be leaving.
