Man United boss-elect sanctions moves

Renato Sanches and John Stones could be on their way to Manchetser United this summer, after Jose Mourinho apparently sanctioned both transfers.

It’s been heavily rumoured that Jose Mouinho is set to replace Louis van Gaal at Old Trafford this summer, and now those rumours are even stronger with this latest story.

Mourinho, 52, has rejected a number of offers from other clubs as he’s holding out for the Old Trafford hotseat and, though nothing has been signed, he’s been given assurances this week that the job is effectively as good as his.

United are in advanced talks with Benfica to sign their youngster Sanches, with the feel looking to be around £48million for the midfielder. While Sanches’ arrival is expected, United will face far more competition for John Stones.

The Everton defender has experienced a rocky campaign with the Toffees but he’s still held in high regard and Mourinho made four bids for the 21-year-old when he was Chelsea boss last summer.

And, according to the Telegraph, Mourinho has given the thumbs up to signing both players and is hopeful of their arrivals before he takes charge at Old Trafford.
