Graeme Le Saux slaughters Chelsea boss for actions in recent weeks

Ex-Chelsea defender Graeme Le Saux has been very critical of Jose Mourinho and has accused him of damaging the reputation of football.

Mourinho has had a turbulent season to say the least following a shocking start for Chelsea on the pitch, and also a controversial start off it.

Things all started badly when club-doctor Eva Carneiro had a falling-out with Mourinho, which eventually lead to her leaving her role at Stamford Bridge.

The Special One then got in trouble with the FA a couple of times for his controversial post-match interviews where he’s voiced his displeasure at referees.

The latest has seen Mourinho receive a ÂŁ50,000 fine and also a suspended one-game stadium ban.

Le Saux Critical of Mourinho

Speaking about Mourinho, Le Saux has admitted he was in the wrong during the Carneiro saga and the ex-professional also believes Mourinho has damaged the game’s reputation.

“If this had been handled differently, these negative issues would not have arisen,” he told The Times.

“Mourinho doesn’t seem to have reflected on the damage he’s done to his own image, the reputation of Chelsea and – more importantly – the reputation of the entire game.”
