Blues boss gives Piers Morgan glimmer of hope about one day managing Arsenal

Journalist Piers Morgan has been talking with Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho about him one day managing Arsenal Football Club, the team Morgan supports.

The famous Arsenal fan is known to vent his frustrations about The Gunners on Twitter, aiming most of his hate at current manager Arsene Wenger.

However, after speaking with Mourinho at the GQ Awards, Morgan has revealed what was said between the two.

Just as the Chelsea boss was leaving the event, Morgan asked him if he could offer him a glimmer of hope, and that being that one day he would manage at the Emirates Stadium.

Morgan and Mourinho

‘Well let me put it like this: one day I will leave Chelsea, and when I do I will continue living in London,’ Mourinho replied.

‘There are a number of other opportunities for a manager in London – Fulham, QPR, West Ham, Spurs, the England national team… and Arsenal.’

The conversation continued as Morgan moved to rule out Fulham, Queens Park Rangers, West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur, which lead to Mourinho saying:

‘So, Piers, we are left with two options, yes? Arsenal and the national team.

‘For now I have given you what you wanted – a glimmer of hope.’
