Jose Mourinho feels he still has a lot of football left in him.

The manager took a brief sabbatical but is now back at Bein Sports doing commentary a few days back. The Portuguese lost his job at Manchester United following the harrowing 3-1 defeat at the hands of Liverpool.

The former Chelsea and Real Madrid manager has been linked with a number of coaching offers but is unlikely to take any this season. Mourinho had been surrounded by controversies during his entire United career and his way of handling things worsened the matter in the last few days.

The manager’s relationship with some of the players including Paul Pogba hit the rock bottom and it reflected on the results as United barely looked threatening on the pitch.

Mourinho said, “I want to coach.

“I am too young, I am in football for a long, long time but I will be 56 in a couple of weeks and am really too young.

“Where I am going to stay is where I belong, I belong to top football. I belong to top-level football and (that) is where I am going to be.”

“I consider one of the best jobs of my career [was] to finish second with Manchester United in the Premier League, you say ‘this guy is crazy, he’s won 25 titles and he’s saying that the second position was one of his best achievements in football’.

“I [will] keep saying this because people don’t know what is going on behind the scenes and sometimes on this side of the cameras we analyse things with a different perspective.

“And also the reason why I accept to be here and I will accept in the next period, where I suppose [I will] not be working immediately, is also to know the new football better and to know the new football better is also to understand what is behind the cameras.”
