Jose Mourinho Insists Result Was Awful For Them

Jose Mourinho is not happy following Manchester United’s 2-2 draw against Chelsea insisting the result was awful for them.

United were trailing 1-0 at the half time courtesy to an Antonio Rudiger header from a Willian corner. But a rejuvenated United came back hard in the second half and an Anthony Martial brace almost sealed the game for the visiting side.

But Ross Barkley secured a crucial point for the home side as he struck in the dying minutes of the injury time to dash the hopes of the travelling Red Devils supporters.

United dominated the much of the second half and a strong performance from the team would definitely please Mourinho who had a scuffle on the sidelines after a Chelsea support staff celebrated right in front of him.

The Portuguese boss said, “The best team on the pitch, and if you say before the match one point at Stamford Bridge is always a good result because it’s always difficult for teams to win here but after the game the way the game was is an awful result for us and a phenomenal result for them.

“It’s different because against Newcastle first half we were not there, in this match we were there. We had lots of the ball in the last third, we were not aggressive enough with the ball to attack the spaces, but we were there.

“We controlled their triggers, Hazard and Jorginho were well controlled, I’ve never seen Jorginho play so little like today. We concede a goal in a set piece, but we were in the game.”
