Chelsea officially parted-ways with Mourinho following club’s Christmas meal
It has been revealed that Chelsea Football Club sacked Jose Mourinho just moments after their Christmas lunch.
The club have an annual Christmas lunch with all the players and staff at their training complex in Cobham, but just moments after they had finished, Mourinho was informed that he’s out of a job.
Two club officials spoke to Mourinho and in a ten-minute meeting they told him he was sacked due to their poor start to the campaign and due to the broken relationships between himself and the players.
Sacking
Chairman Bruce Buck and Eugene Tenenbaum arrived at the training centre at around 2pm and were quick to inform Mourinho that the decision had been made to sack him for the second time.
It came after the manager took training for the day and was setting up for Chelsea‘s home game against Sunderland on Saturday.
Mourinho leaves Chelsea as their most successful manager over two stints, but currently leaves them 16th in the Premier League and just a point above relegation.
