Manager has told friends he’s replacing Louis van Gaal

Jose Mourinho has reportedly told his close friends that it’s a done deal for him to replace Louis van Gaal at Old Trafford in the summer.

The Portuguese has been out of a job since being sacked by Chelsea back in December, thanks to a nightmare start to the new campaign, which left the Blues 16th in the Premier League.

However, since being fired, Mourinho has had several clubs want to talk to him, but his eyes are firmly set on one role and one role only, the Manchester United job.

Done Deal

According to reports, he has told close friends that a deal is in place for him to take over at Old Trafford at the end of the season, replacing current boss Van Gaal.

The Dutchman has been under severe pressure in recent months due to some poor results and some boring performances, and it’s believed that Ed Woodward is ready to replace him over the summer, ending Van Gaal’s deal one-year earlier than expected.

It’s believed several discussions have been held between Woodward and Mourinho since his sacking in December, and a deal is already in place for the Portuguese to take over the reigns in the summer.

It’s no secret that Mourinho has always wanted the Old Trafford hot-seat, and it now looks like he is set to fulfill his dream.
