Despite having been scouted by Arsenal following an impressive display during a pre season outing against Fylde, Chelsea have also been closely monitoring the 16 year old, and both sides believe that he can reach his full potential in the Premier League.
Reports understand that Rochdale are willing to listen to any offers from the big clubs and are willing to negotiate.
Diba has been at Rochdale from a young age and has already succeeded in impressing the nation as he has already been called up to 2 under 16 England training camps.
Rochdale manager Keith Hill has been impressed with the youngster’s progress during pre season.
“They’ve shown a good appetite and the likes of Callum Camps, Andy Cannon and Johny Diba are going to be integral in my squad this season,” said Hill.
“Johny will step up into the first team squad and he will be coming away to Tenerife with us in pre-season.
“I plan on playing him in goal in one of the three games that we play at Spotland, either against Wigan, Bolton or Middlesbrough, because we have to be able to see how good he is.”
