Portuguese may try and lure John Terry to Manchester United
Jose Mourinho could make a cheeky offer for John Terry should he become the new Manchester United manager, according to Steve Clarke.
The veteran centre-back is set to become a free agent over the summer after it was revealed Chelsea won’t be offering him a new 12-month contract.
Due to his age, Terry has been on one-year rolling contracts for the past few seasons, but he revealed after the MK Dons game that the board have decided not to renew his deal, allowing him to leave his boyhood club.
Terry is desperate to get a new contract at Stamford Bridge, but it appears their minds have been made up.
With the centre-back now getting ready to plan his future away from Chelsea, he could receive a shock offer from Mourinho, should the Portuguese be appointed at Old Trafford.
It’s heavily reported that Mourinho will be replacing Louis van Gaal over the summer, and Clarke believes his former-manager could make a cheeky offer for the Chelsea legend.
