Manchester United are eager to sign England defender Harry Maguire. The 25-year old was one of England’s best players at the World Cup.  His performances led to Manchester United demanding him.

Leicester City’s asking price for the center-back is £60 million. The Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho is urging Ed Woodward to sign at least Maguire or Tottenham defender Toby Alderweireld. Alderweireld was another defender who was impressive at the World Cup.

One major setback that Manchester United will certainly face in signing Maguire is that he has another four years left on his contract. In that case, Alderweireld is a relatively easier target for United. However, Alderweireld is also the more expensive out of the two because Tottenham Hotspur are demanding £70 million for the Belgian.

Alderweireld does not seem to have a rapport with Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino as not long back, he slammed Pochettino for not using him more often last season.
