Jose Mourinho’s Honest Confessions After Losing Out On Real Madrid Job To Zinedine Zidane

Jose Mourinho does not believe Zinedine Zidane has made a career as a manager despite getting reappointed by Real Madrid this month.

The Portuguese tactician was touted to be next in line to replace Santiago Solari at the Santiago Bernabeu after the Galacticos suffered a horrendous season in both domestic and European competitions.

However, after months of drawing links with Chelsea and Juventus, Zidane decided to make his return to the Spanish capital.

Mourinho is currently without a job after getting sacked by Manchester United last December. He told Canal Plus, “I do not think we can talk about a career for him yet. But in a very short time, he did what no one had done before, that is winning three consecutive Champions Leagues.

“Now he is starting a new step in his career. He has to build a team, he has to make choices, buy players, sell them. He has to train them, give them his philosophy of play. I think he’s probably the best person for this club.”

The 56-year-old is looking to make his return to football by June. He further added, “Day after day, I miss training. I’m not going to hide it. There’s something going on in my head, winning a fifth league and a new Champions League with a third club.”
