Reliable Journalist Matt Davies-Adams has said that Alvaro Morata-Gonzalo Higuain swap deal makes complete sense.

There have been speculations of a transfer swap deal between the two clubs with Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri looking to reunite with his former colleague.

Chelsea TV commentator Matt Davies-Adams has opined that a swap deal between Chelsea and AC Milan involving their strikers Alvaro Morata and Gonzalo Higuain makes complete sense. The current Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has been looking to beef up his attack with both his strikers Morata and Olivier Giroud not been able to have an impact up front so far this season. Speculations are rife that the Italian gaffer is looking forward to reuniting with his former colleague from Napoli, Gonzalo Higuain, who moved to Juventus later and is currently plying his trade at AC Milan.

The journalist said, “I wouldn’t rule out the Higuain/Morata thing which seems to be doing the rounds as well. Higuain did really well for Sarri in the past and Morata… Chelsea are probably ready to cut their losses on him. He [Higuain] is somebody who the manager has worked with before and Olivier Giroud got injured in the last match and might be out for a while by the look of it.”

He added, “Alvaro Morata is clearly not the person to play in the Sarri system, it would appear. If Chelsea could get Higuain on loan for the rest of the season, it’s a no-brainer in many ways.”
